On the 16th, I did not take the Sun, but the course was 12 leagues N.W. and the bottom was 10, 12 and 15 fathoms, the shoals run N.W.– S.E. This day we considered going towards their Cape and island, as our charts do not indicate their position as they lie, and it is necessary for those who navigate in these parts to know their disposition.
