On the 17th, I took the Sun at 77° 1/3, it had a declination of 23° 27’, giving an altitude of 10° 47’ and our course was to the N.W. and W.N.W. The currents pulled us toward the Río Grande, to 10, 9, 8 and 4 fathoms and later it grew deeper, and the day was Tuesday.
