On the 24th, I took the Sun at 78°, it had a declination of 23° 3’, making an altitude of 11° 3’. Our course was W. and N.W., but the currents carried me W.S.W. some 7 leagues, and the day was Tuesday, on this day I sounded and found 80 fathoms.
