On the 6th, I took the Sun at 83° 1⁄4, it had a declination of 21° 37’, giving an altitude of 14° 52’ and I am 20 leagues 1/4N.W.S.E. E.–W. of Maio Island [the easternmost island]. At night, we tacked about, to and fro, and in the morning, we steered W.1/4 S.W., and the day was Sunday.
