On the 12th, I took the Sun at 66° 1/3, it had a declination of 12° 9’, giving an altitude of 35° 49’ and the course was N., N.N.E. and N.E., but, with the leeway, I reckon it N.N.E., and Faial Island is to my N.E. and São Miguel to the E.N.E. The day was Tuesday.
